Description

Unfortunately, this program has been postponed due to inclement weather. It will be rescheduled.

Join Dr. Whitney Freeman and the Ridgefield Conservation Commission at the Ridgefield Library on Wednesday, February 12th at 7:00 pm to learn about the integral part livestock play in healing our soils, bringing back wildlife to our habitats, and how all this is tied to producing better food.

Dr. Freeman owns and runs  Henny Penny Farm  in Ridgefield, which focuses on being a center of both education and food production (raising lamb, pork, and poultry) for local communities. The 18 acres of leased Town Conservation Land where she raises sheep serves as a model of one of the best environmentally focused grazing programs in the State.
