Simple Supper From the Garden

The David M. Hunt Library will host "Simple Supper from the Garden" with Tracy Hayhurst of Undermountain Pantry on Thursday, August 8th at 5:30 pm. Join Tracy in her large organic garden on Beavertides Farm, previously home to Chubby Bunny Farm, which Tracy co-founded. Participants will tour the garden, learn about Tracy's new micro bakery and harvest vegetables that will be used to create tartines (open face sandwiches) on Tracy's sourdough bread. Tracy studied at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork, Ireland and has worked at Plantin' Seeds and Husky Meadows Farm, working to educate about and increase community access to locally sourced organic food. This program is free and open to the public, but limited to 10 participants. Registration is required by emailing dmhuntlibrary@gmail.com or calling the library at (860) 824 7424.
